EASTVALE - Students from Eleanor Roosevelt High School enrolled in the Mechatronics pathway participated in the 2023 International Sea Perch Competition in Baltimore. After gaining an understanding of electronics and the Engineering design process, students built a remotely operated vehicle that they can compete with. 

At the competition, there were 143 teams from 5 different continents in attendance. ERHS was part of the simulated mission category, along with 9 other teams. Their total score earned them 14th place out of more than 70 teams in the division. Students had an opportunity to present and answer questions about their design process in front of an international audience.
